Indiana legislative leaders have announced details on how members of the public can submit their own proposals for the state’s new congressional and legislative districts.

The online proposals from the public will be reviewed in advance of the anticipated release of Indiana House Republicans’ redistricting legislation on Sept. 14, according to a posting on the Indiana General Assembly website.

The online portal for drawing and submitting maps is https://indistricting.iga.in.gov/. Members of the public also can go to one of the state’s Ivy Tech campuses for personal assistance in using the software.

Details of the public submission process, along with census data and other resources, is available at http://iga.in.gov/redistricting/. — The Indiana Citizen
