With the deadline for registering to vote in Indiana’s May 5 primary election just weeks away, Hoosiers are being reminded to make sure they are on the registration rolls.
The deadline for registering is April 6. Early voting begins April 7.
Hoosiers can check their registration status, register to vote, or update their information by visiting IndianaVoters.com or by contacting their local county election office. Online registration will end at 11:59 p.m. April 6. In-person registration at county election offices will end at the close of business April 6.
To be eligible to register and vote in Indiana, individuals must:
“Don’t wait until the last minute to check your registration status or register to vote,” Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales said in a statement. “The deadline is approaching – make sure you’re ready to vote.”
