JOIN THE INDIANA CIVIC HEALTH ALLIANCE

The 2019 edition of the Indiana Civic Health Index shows that Indiana is in the bottom of states for voter registration, turnout, and civic literacy. The authors made two specific recommendations:

  • Convene a task force to make recommendations for improvements to civic education
  • Improve voting turnout substantially, with the goal of moving Indiana from the bottom 10 to the top 10

The civic education task force is led by Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and managed by the Indiana Bar Foundation. The effort to increase turnout is being led by the Indiana Citizen Education Foundation through its One More Voice campaign. If you are a candidate, elected official or organization who supports these two goals, please consider ecoming a member of the Indiana Civic Health Alliance. (Don’t worry, there are no meetings or dues!) We’ll provide you with information on how One More Voice can be tailored to speak to your community, however you define it.

If you are not a candidate, elected official or organization representative but want to get involved, learn how you can get involved.
