"Samantha Chapman is the Indiana State Director of the Humane Society of the United States. She is a lifelong Hoosier and animal lover who has dedicated her life to changing policy and laws that better protect animals at the state and local level. Samantha is especially passionate about working to keep pets and their people together and stopping the inhumane treatment of dogs in puppy mills. In 2022, she was honored with Manchester University's Young Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award for her role in helping facilitate the historic transport of 4,000 beagles from a breeding research facility in Virginia.
As a new resident to Fishers, Samantha is excited to provide a fresh perspective to the city council. She is eager to connect with neighbors and advocate for the good people of the Northeast District. She believes in the future of Fishers and is committed to supporting our schools and families, so the community as a whole continues to thrive.
