    • James' experience managing financial services offices, teaching as college professor, and serving as an NCO in the Marines gives him the organizational experience, leadership skills, and fiscal responsibility that are badly needed in Tippecanoe County Government.



 
Political Experience :

  • Project Manager Level 3 Assessor

    • James is certified by the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance as a Tax Representative and a Level 3 Assessor-Appraiser. He has been a leading force in Tippecanoe County Government for reform and modernization since 2007.

    • As a Deputy Tax Assessor, he led the way promoting transparency in the Tippecanoe County Assessor's Office by placing assessment and sales records online. He was instrumental in reforming the way commercial property was valued which helped stabilize the county's tax base since 2011.

    • Recently, James earned Tippecanoe County an international award for GIS websites that provided advanced assessment information to the public. He has also created maps for the Election Commission and humanitarian resource maps to serve the community.
